Les Morse Receives Aspis Red Shield Award

Les Morse awarded Aspis employee of the month for exemplary service and going the extra mile. 

Aspis Consulting is proud to award Les Morse our Red Shield award which we present once a month to one of our team members. Since starting 7 months ago Les has been a staple of the Aspis team offering help wherever it is needed. He is constantly putting in the extra work to help both the client and our team get us to the next level of growth. We could not be prouder to have him part of our company and look forward to many more years to come. We decided to ask Les some questions to help get to know our team a little more. 

Les is in our Kansas City branch and works as a cybersecurity technician helping small to mid-sized clients with anti-phishing education, network scans, and dark web monitoring. His favorite part about working as a cybersecurity technician is the variety. Les stated “Some days I am running a scan on a clients’ network to help them discover vulnerabilities or achieve legal requirements, others I work on our own internal network, create a set of policies and procedures for the company, help educate clients and fellow Aspis employees on cybersecurity and phishing, (I especially enjoy social engineering), deploy and administer the cloud-based portion of our network and other things as well. I get enough repetition to be good at what I do, but I have so much variety that I am never bored.”  

We also asked Les about his favorite thing about working for Aspis. He stated “We have multiple meetings with the CEO each week, ranging from small teams to one-on-one, as well as a monthly meeting with all Aspis employees. So, at any given time, I know what the company is working towards, and see how my efforts are affecting the goals.” 

When Les is not working traveling internationally and going to live music or sporting events are where he spends his time. Les stated “They’re how I feel connected and refreshed, so having the pandemic seemingly getting closer to an end and the world opening back up right now has me in a permanently good mood. I’ve averaged at least two new countries visited per year for the past decade and attend countless concerts and sporting events (go Royals/Sporting Kansas City!) and cannot put into words how excited I am to get back into the swing of things as we reopen.”
