Our Aspis team is overjoyed to announce that we have been selected as one of the finalists for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Dream Big Award. Every year 3 finalists per category are chosen from more than 1000 applications submitted from small businesses across the country. At Aspis, we pride ourselves in doing the best we can, and it has shown. Our team is so proud of what we have accomplished in a little over 2 years of being in business. In that short time, Aspis has been featured in multiple magazines, recognized by Forbes, and is now in the running for one of the largest small business awards in the country. All in all, we want to take this moment to thank everyone for the continuous support of our journey. We would also like to thank all who have helped make Aspis into what it is today.
What Is the Dream Big Award?
So you may be asking “what is the dream big award?”. Each year the U.S. Chamber of Commerce recognizes standout small businesses from across the country for their dedication to their communities and contributions to restoring jobs and supporting economic growth. Equally this organization chooses one small business for each of its nine awards.
“This year small businesses have continued facing every obstacle head-on, taking risks, working hard, and dreaming big in the face of ongoing challenges and uncertainty,” said Tom Sullivan, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Small Business Policy. “Small businesses are a critical and vibrant sector of the U.S. economy, and the U.S. Chamber is proud to celebrate the very best in American small business through our Dream Big Awards.”
The Dream Big Awards program includes nine different Business Achievement Awards to recognize the excellence of leading businesses in each of the following categories. These include community support and leadership, emerging, green/sustainable, minority-owned, LGBTQ-owned, veteran-owned, woman-owned, young entrepreneur, and small business of the year.
The Emerging Business Award recognizes the success of one small business. Secondly, It honors its contributions to the growth and diversity of the American economy. This award recognizes a start-up that has outstanding business achievements with fewer than 25 employees. It also must have 1-3 years of full-time operation.
