Jeff Wagner has over 20 years of cybersecurity experience as a practitioner, manager, executive and public speaker.
As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the USDA Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) mission area he led the cybersecurity program for one-third the of USDA’s mission protecting $750 million in annual purchases of IT products and services for the Farm Service Agency, Risk Management Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service and Business Center components.
Prior to becoming the FPAC CISO, Jeff served as CISO for both the Farm Service Agency and Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Jeff has shared his outcomes-based, business-orientated and management through measurement insights and methods to audiences of fellow CISOs and directors of information security of Fortune 500 companies as well as at the Federal Computer Security Managers Forum sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Jeff has a passion for non-profit work and has volunteered his cybersecurity expertise to several 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. He has advised on audit findings, continuity of operations, ransomware infections, program maturity and penetration testing.
